Able groomers training school and salon Ltd was set up in 2021 by Ruth Goddard and Jessica Wallace. We met at sparsholt college where we taught city and guilds dog grooming qualifications and decided to set up our own grooming school which has been the best decision we’ve made .Here at Able Groomers we teach the IPet network qualifications ranging from salon days, canine first aid and level 3 diplomas in dog grooming . More details can be found on our website www.ablegroomers.com Are ethos is to treat the dog holistically , maintaining the dogs welfare at all times, we often work with dogs who are anxious or fearful of grooming in a calm relaxed way. Working with the dogs and owners to ensure a great experience. Ruth is a master Reiki practitioner who often uses this to calm dogs create a positive environment for trainees and dogs a like. Jess also works holistically with dogs ensuring this ethos is met . Jess interests lies in Canine massage and cat grooming .We work very hard and well as a team to ensure all our clients and trainee groomers get the most out of the training and grooming sessions . No dog is turned away .

We have a great team working with us at Able groomers from employees to past grooming students renting tables from us so they still get the training environment which builds their confidence to succeed in the grooming career .

A small family business established in 2020 originally as Archie’s Treats following a period of making healthy treats for our Labrador Archie as part of his overall healthy diet.

We began to receive requests from family & friends for the treats and then began developing the business, changing the name to Archie’s Pet Pantry as a direct result of developing and adding other hand made products.

All of our treats, including our personalized birthday cakes, are vegan and free from any additives or artificial preservatives.

Our aim is to provide a healthy alternative (vegan products) to compliment other dog treats and not to replace other options available.

We have been providing dog brushes over the past ten years. Throughout the summer months we can usually be seen grooming hundreds of dogs across the country! We attend all the major outdoor shows, country events and game fairs.
Each year we love meeting familiar faces and happy customers - both human and canine!

Grounded Coffee

We travel across the South serving our awesome coffee from our Land Rover coffee trucks, Arthur, who is a 1976 Series 3 & George, who is a slightly younger model, 2002 130 Defender.

We attend various events, festivals, corporate functions and weddings. Over these past few years we have expanded our fleet and we now have four different set ups to suit all types of events. 

Guide Dogs

Guide Dogs are delighted to join Dogstival this year and we hope this is the start of a partnership for years to come.

As part of the Education and Demonstration Team Mark and Laine will provide an interesting and interactive visual demonstration on the way the charity Guide Dogs trains the guide dogs of the future. The aim of the team is to inform and educate about the life changing work of Guide Dogs and to demonstrate the skills the dogs need to give visually impaired people independence and mobility. From early intervention for children with sight loss, to helping adults with life skills and getting out and about, our services are life-changing.

Whether you’re looking for yourself, a member of your family, or your child, our experts can help you find ways to live actively, independently and well with sight loss.

Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust

Information stand offering membership to the Trust. Hampshire’s natural diversity is possibly unsurpassed in the UK, and when you add the unspoiled habitats of the Isle of Wight you have an internationally important assemblage of wildlife. Some of these sights are almost unique, notably our chalk streams and sandy lowland heaths. And importantly, most of these places are accessible to us all, in the fantastic collection of nature reserves managed by Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust.

Hampshire Fire and Rescue Dogs

The Fire Investigation Search Dogs have searched more than 1,700 potential crime scenes across Hampshire and other counties since they were first introduced in 2006. These visits have resulted in prison sentences totalling more than 500 years as the dogs are trained and licenced with Hampshire and Thames Valley Police. The dogs work at speed to locate vapour from ignitable liquids with greater accuracy than the latest electronic field equipment. This work reduces the number of samples needed for forensic testing. The dogs have previously showcased their skills to other fire and rescue services, police forces in Turkey and Afghanistan, and made appearances at Crufts. The Melted Cheese Raclette is ran by 'us' two sisters from Dorset, Sophie and Sadie. After Sadie was made redundant we decided to take the leap of faith, and we hit the road in April 2022 trading from our newly converted horse box. 

We have been catering private events, festivals, food festivals, weddings and family events all around the South of England. 

We spend our days scraping bubbling melted raclette cheese straight off the grilled wheel onto all different dishes.

Newfoundland Carting Display Team

Our group teach Newfoundland dogs a variety of skills, from Obedience, Heelwork to Music, Water Work and Carting. Our carting dogs are   taught to perform a number of exercises which can be described as ‘Freestyle Exercises’  where the dog will work, attached to  a cart,  several feet away from the handler without a lead.  These exercises are designed to assist with mental stimulation and the promotion of fun for both the dogs and potential audiences.

Paws & Claws Pet Care

Primarily a pet sitting business, Paws & Claws Pet Care Dorset diversified into the world of dog food products during the 2020 lockdowns. Inspired by our late dog Lily and the foods we would make for her at home, the idea for Doggy Cheese Loaf was developed by making a complementary dog feed to replace harder dog kibble on the market and allow Lily to continue enjoying her meals during the senior years. 

From here we have created a dog food product that can be used as a treat, or part meal. All organic, all natural, no additives.

From the Doggy Cheese Loaf, we have gone on to create an iced product range based on Lily's favourite flavours, and now we cannot wait to share our new Doggy Fro-Yo products at Dogstival!

Pets As Therapy

Pets As Therapy (PAT) is a National Charity founded in 1983 by Lesley Scott-Ordish. PAT believe that no one should be without the companionship of animals whatever their circumstances. Pets As Therapy connect temperament assessed dogs and cats and their volunteer owners with children and adults in establishments such as schools, care homes, hospitals, hospices and prisons. The volunteer and their pet provide supporting reading services or welfare visits to children and adults who enjoy or are comforted by the presence of a dog or cat.

Pets As Therapy have over 5,700 registered volunteers throughout the UK.

Volunteers give as much time as they can to their visiting, there is no minimum! Visiting can take place during the working week daytime, early-evening and indeed weekends and should always be appropriate to both the volunteer and the establishment they will visit.

Pop + Bark will be serving up new and improved pupuccinos where you’ll be able to pick some delicious additions and toppings for your dog (including popcorn crumbles and carob jazzies) and treat your BFF. They kept us going through lockdown, it’s time to truly spoil them!

There’ll also be extra dog treats to buy, too. So grab a takeaway coffee and a cake from your nearest coffee shop for you, head to Pop + Bark and we’ll make sure we get your dog’s taste buds tingling! Potty about Pets

Bespoke and one off pieces created by Beth. With my love and compassion for our furry family members, beautiful homeware and creating with clay, Potty About Pets was created.

Your pieces are handmade by me from scratch in my garden studio, in the New Forest, UK. With the assistance of my mini dachshunds Reuben and Gus.

In my ceramics I combine sculptures of your beloved pets on uniquely glazed functional pieces, small miniatures and high definition pet portrait sculptures.

I fire my ceramics in my kiln to stoneware high temperatures (1250 degrees °c!) to ensure that these pieces are incredibly strong and durable.

Record numbers of UK visitors to coastlines this year and last, dramatically increased the demand on the charity’s services, meaning our valuable work to raise funds has never been more important. Leonbergers are a giant breed originating from Germany and are very friendly (as are their owners).  Leos where originally bred as general purpose farm dogs, part of their work was to pull small carts, helping the farmers to sell their produce in local villages.  The Southern Leonberger Carting Group are proud to give carting demonstrations at local events in the South of England.

We have been showing and working Siberian Huskies for over 20 years and have become one of the most successful kennels on the UK.

In the last 20 years we have won multiple British championships and two silver medals for Great Britain in the IFSS European championship and in the WSA world championship.

The Siberian Husky is one of the oldest pure dog breeds and has become a household pet in many homes. The breed is still very misunderstood so we have taken this time to show our working team and educate anyone who would like to understand more about the Siberian husky and the working side of the breed.

Vault Physiotherapy

Rochelle is the owner of Vault Physiotherapy which specialises in human and animal rehabilitation across Hampshire, Southampton and West Dorset.

She has been working as a Chartered Physiotherapist for 7 years, specialising in musculoskeletal rehabilitation following major trauma and orthopaedic surgery at Southampton General Hospital. She also works in GP surgeries across Southampton treating a wide variety of conditions supporting Doctors and nurses in primary care.

Rochelle became a member of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Animal Therapy (ACPAT) after completing 2 years at Hartpury University towards her Masters. This means she belongs to professional network which ensures the highest standard of animal physiotherapy is being delivered.

Rochelle has a passion for managing the ageing dog and evidence-based rehabilitation following musculoskeletal injury. She will be sharing her knowledge and experience about the role of physiotherapy in dogs and when its required, so come on down to the Healthy Hound Den to hear all things physiotherapy!
