Where to stay when visiting Dogstival 2022
The New Forest National Park has been voted No.1 National Park in Europe by Trip Advisor. It is one of the most dog-friendly areas in the country and perfect for a short break with your pup if you’re travelling to Dogstival!
There are 220 square miles of woods and acre upon acre of purple-hued heathland where your dogs can romp and play. But what many people don’t realise about the New Forest is how close the National Park is to some beautiful, uncommercialised coastline for sea-salty walks and picnics on the beach.
You can easily spend the morning in the forest walking with your dog before enjoying a delicious lunch in one of the forests lovely pubs. Then spend the afternoon on the coast, which is just a quick zip in the car. There are pebbles and fossils at Barton on Sea and Milford on Sea, with far-reaching views to the Isle of Wight across the Solent. Further west towards Christchurch, you’ll find sand dunes and swimming at Highcliffe Beach and Hengistbury Head, which are popular for dogs and their owners every month of the year.
