If a dog could have the best day of its life, what would it do? The answer is a day out at Dogstival, a brand-new festival is announced for 18th & 19th May 2019. Held at the Pylewell Park Estate in the New Forest and hosted by local resident, environmentalist and dog lover Chris Packham aims to be a celebration of ‘all things dog related’ at one of the most stunning settings in the South of England.

The two-day festival will showcase some of the most exciting dog display teams from across the UK, expert talks from a range of guests, ‘come and try’ activities such as agility or flyball and Dogstival’s very own ‘behavioural stage’ where owners can understand more about the mental health and wellbeing of their best friend as well as typical behaviour issues that happen in the home.

Guests will also be able to sample food and drink from artisan producers from across the New Forest and Hampshire, lots of wonderful doggy retail stands and also a vintage fun fair with a big wheel looking out across the Solent to the Isle of Wight. There will also be pampering zones, photobooths, a chance to win prizes and water-loving dogs will even have a chance to splash around on Pylewell Park’s very own beach.

Commenting on his involvement, Chris Packham said: “I’m really excited to be a part of Dogstival launching in the New Forest. It’s going to be a great day out for dogs of all shapes and sizes, but importantly a chance to learn more about your best friend and the amazing habitat and environment around us. Scratchy, my beloved poodle is the epicentre of my life, his health and wellbeing are so important to me. Many of the other dog shows or festivals tend to focus on diet and exercise, which is great, but hopefully we can go further and talk about the mental wellbeing of our pets too.”

The festival has also secured some of the UK’s most exciting dog show acts and displays including Paws For Thought, ShadowQuest and the Rockwood Display team all set to wow the crowds. There will also be lots of activities for dogs and their owners to try and enjoy, such as the K9 Aquasplash a giant dog swimming pool.

What A Fantastic Festival

What a fantastic festival this was. Very well organised and so much to see and do with your dog. Great fun.
Will definitely be going back next year.
Thank you
