Fun Dog Show

Let’s face it, everyone thinks their dog rocks!

Join us for our fun dog show this year sponsored by Animal Friends Pet Insurance. Very much aimed at the more humorous end of the scale and because every good story starts with a tail! Can you do a trick, are you looking festival ready or have you looked after your owner?! The Dogstival fun dog show is open to everyone and ALL proceeds are split between our charities. Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, Pets as Therapy and Streetvet

  • Maximum of 15 entries per class
  • Please arrive at the ANIMAL FRIENDS SHOW RING with your registration 15 minutes before the session
  • Rosettes for every entry 


Classes: 11-11.45pm on both days

  • Puppy Love: All puppies under a year old, worth an excited tiddle in the ring!
  • Regal Rover; Calling all snazzy dressers are you festival ready! Have you got a special Jubilee outfit?
  • Golden Oldie: All dogs over ten years, there’s life in the old dog yet!


Classes; 1.30-2.15pm on both days

  • Best Rescue: Found a new forever home? Tell us your story
  • Best Trick : Has your dog got talent! Can they ‘give a paw’, ‘bark on command’ or perform a dance routine? Show us your moves!
  • Child handler : Is your little one a secret dog whisperer? Can they command your canine!

 

Classes 3-3.45pm on both days

  • Helpful Hound: Has your dog helped you? Kept you fit, kept you smiling when times were tough or even saved your life!
  • Most Embarrassing Dog: Has your dog embarrassed you? Pooped in a hotel, pinched a picnic or barked at a vicar! We want to hear the stories in all their glory!
  • Most Pampered Pooch: Have you got a doggy diva?! Who boots you out of bed, will only drink mineral water or hogs the couch!

Led by the super impressive Jodie Forbes, a 24 year old dog trainer with 15 years training experience. She competes in agility, hoopers and freestyle to music, but has also dabbled in breed showing, disc dog, handling, flyball, obedience, scentwork, tracking and mantrailing.

In 2020 Jodie was awarded the Inspirational Young Person award at Crufts. She’s worked with hundreds of different dog, trained media dogs for brands such as Amazon, Land Rover and Stella McCartney and my border terriers have won eight first places at Crufts in multiple activities from 2011-2020 and performed internationally.

Multi-talented Jodie will be showing you how to teach your dogs a few tricks, in fact, she’s got more tricks than a wizard’s pocket!
